I did a lot of photo sessions over the summer at The National Cathedral Bishops Garden and this was one of my favorite sessions – the H family. The H family has, sadly, moved back to Paris, France (but not sad for them!) I just wish that I had been able to see their beautiful little girl grow up! Enjoy!
I got a call this morning from a reporter with the Washington Post (Kafia Hosh: http://projects.washingtonpost.com/staff/articles/kafia+hosh/) telling me about the new proposed fees that Fairfax County may be incurring starting April 1, 2010. I had no idea and I will be sad, especially since the fees are so steep, but it’s understandable that the park wants to gain some revenue and manage the photography sessions. If you wish to get involved or comment, there will be a meeting tomorrow night:
The Fairfax County Park Authority will hold its annual public comment meeting on the agency’s proposed fee adjustments for this year on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at 7 p.m., in Room 106 of the Herrity Building located at 12055 Government Center Parkway in Fairfax, VA. This is an opportunity to learn more about current proposals and to comment on these proposed changes.

I can’t not say enough how much I love love love Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria for a photo session – be it a family session, an engagement session, or just for fun! It’s a gem of a park that no one knows about – it’s very quiet and peaceful and has little shady nooks perfect for portraits. There’s a gazebo, a stone wall, benches galore, and short little trees perfect for younger kiddos to climb in. I almost don’t want to put this up on my blog but I can’t help but not shout out my love for this number one of my favorite places!

Going back in time – more Cherry Blossoms pics! We met Meaghan and Chris at the Cherry Blossoms for some engagement pictures. I really enjoyed meeting their sweet little puppy, too – she was a hit!
Our last session on April 3rd was the lovely Kimberly and her awesome fiance, Christian. We could not have ended that crazy day with a better couple! They have the COOLEST theme every – paisley and skulls. Wish *I* had thought of that! : )

We got to meet two very beautiful, sweet girls (one little and one big) at the Cherry Blossoms at couple of weeks ago – we got some amazing pictures! I think they turned out so well because the subjects were so great. Thanks you two for such a wonderful, magical session!
We met the H Family at Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria, VA on a gorgeous spring day and got to have lots of fun with their two little girls. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our sessions at Green Spring Gardens! Thanks H Family – you were lots of fun, and you have two absolutely adorable girls!
We met the F family bright and early on April 3 at the Tidal Basin to get some family portraits of the family and of Baby G – whatta cutie!! They were the perfect start to a wonderful, crazy, beautiful day! Thanks F family – hope you enjoy!
